UPSTART SOCIAL NETWORK MYYEARBOOK.COM SHOWS PHENOMENAL 400 PERCENT GROWTH IN 2007
Company Founded by Two Teenagers Outpaces Facebook and Club Penguin

(NEW HOPE, PA) January 16, 2008 -- myYearbook.com, one of the most popular social networks on the Internet, and the only one started by two high school students, increased its market share by a phenomenal 407 percent in 2007, the company announced today.

The growth statistics, analyzed by the leading online competitive intelligence service Hitwise, reported that "MyYearbook experienced the largest gain in market share in December 2007, increasing 407 percent compared to December of the previous year. Facebook and Club Penguin followed, increasing 51 and 48 percent, respectively."

"In the U.S., traffic to social networking sites grew four percent in 2007, but myYearbook grew 100 times faster. This means that we didn't just attract social networking newbies, but that the appeal of our community lured members away from other sites," says Catherine Cook, myYearbook's eighteen-year-old co-founder. "It wasn't too long ago that myYearbook was just in my high school. I can't believe how far it has come."

According to Hitwise, myYearbook.com ranks seventh in overall market share in a custom category of the 53 leading social networking sites, but it also shows by far the fastest growth rate.

"We will be number three on that list by the end of this year," notes Geoff Cook, myYearbook.com's CEO, and older brother to founder Catherine and David Cook. "We care deeply about the user experience. We care deeply about our advertisers. And we believe that is the formula for success."
